Our response to emergency situation in support to families affected by flooding in Albania continues. So far we have reached about 3095 adults and 1068 children in seven regions. Here is a map of aid distribution:http://bit.ly/2Cv8LdT

Today, at the National Conference of People's Advocate "Do not Leave anyone Behind", Save the Children called on decision-making institutions, at central and municipal level, to ensure adequate, equitable and efficient public investment for children in order to respond to their needs for education, protection and other support services, to improve child data for informing decision-making on issues related to children and improve child participation mechanisms at all levels of decision-making.

Save the Children in cooperation with the State Social Service and the Municipality of Fushe Kruje have distributed food and hygiene assistance to about 100 families affected by flooding and living in the most impoverished areas of Fushë-Kruja.

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Community Based Service (CBS) Centers for Children with Disabilities in Durres and Vlore organized exhibitions in the Art Gallery in Durres and Petro Marko theatre in Vlore respectively.

Hundreds of children, teachers, child protection professionals, parents and community members of urban and rural areas in Durres, Tropoja, Fier, Kukes, Shkodra, Tirana and Gjirokastra, appealed to local authorities for more engagement and attention to implementation of children's rights.
