Child Rights Governance

On the International Children’s Rights Day, about 200 children and youth in Burrel, where children’s rights are particularly at stake, marched and advocated for their rights to be respected and fulfilled. In the "Listen to My Voice" awareness raising activity, children called to authorities to be accountable to children and improve their children rights situation focusing most deprived children.

On 1st of June around 40 children, members of Child Led Groups "Voice 16+", called to the Albania parliament to ensure their accountability to children through presentation of the findings and recommendations of the Report "Young Voices 2017, Albania" . The study report is carried out by Save the Children in collaboration with Child Led Group 'Voice 16+' and supported by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.

Today, at the National Conference of People's Advocate "Do not Leave anyone Behind", Save the Children called on decision-making institutions, at central and municipal level, to ensure adequate, equitable and efficient public investment for children in order to respond to their needs for education, protection and other support services, to improve child data for informing decision-making on issues related to children and improve child participation mechanisms at all levels of decision-making.
