Child Trafficking and Child Protection mechanisms at local level

In the framework of the National Anti-Trafficking Week, Ministry of Interior, Office of the National Anti-Trafficking Coordinator, in collaboration with Save the Children and Terre des Hommes and project partner organizations of #Mario project "Protecting Children on the move”, organized two forums with the participation of local institutional relevant actors in Kukes and Gjirokaster.

These forums aimed at raising awareness on the role and responsibilities of the respective sectors in identifying cases of trafficked children or new trends of children movement, cases referral and actions against these cases of children in need of protection. Participants identified population groups in vulnerable situation, their characteristics and respective needs and committed for the establishment of working groups to draft and finalize the Regional Action Plans under the National Anti-Trafficking Strategy in cooperation with experts of the field, Save the Children and Terre de Hommes. This initiative will involve also two other local forums in Korca and Shkodra.
