Socialization of children with down syndrome

School and community play a fundamental role in embracing and accepting children with #DownSyndrome. We fight for an inclusive education for all children #WoldDownSyndromeDay. Socialization of Children with Down syndrome was the main topic of the awareness activities, organized today, with parents and children at one of the Education program included school "Mustafa Gjestila" in Burrel. Parents and children gained knowledge and promoted their messages through the information session, drawing exhibition and materials. Consultants of this meeting, representatives of the school's psycho-social service, assisted participants with information and materials. They discussed about the issues, challenges, needs and rights of children with Down syndrome, focusing on education and socialization, as two important components that enable their development and inclusion in school and community.
