Youth organize "One Day Business" in Cerrik

Thursday 19 December 2013

Supported by Save the Children, as part of our project “Education for Youth Empowerment”, youth from Cerrik organized an activity on a “One Day Business”. They put in practice the knowledge gained from the trainings, visits at different businesses and market research they have conducted.

“One Day Business” was not only an activity where youth translated their business skills but also an important event for the social life of the entire community in Cerrik.
The old city cinema, which had been burned nearly a year ago was functioning today and many citizens of Cerrik enjoyed the premier movie “The Albanian” featuring Nik Xhelilaj. The youth had worked hard for many days to clean and organize its premises and although the roof was missing the atmosphere was fantastic.
All details had been taken care of, with the youth playing different roles from selling tickets and refreshments to accompanying people to their seats. A real cinema. A very entertaining evening.
“One Day Business” was a great example of how civic engagement and business skills can bring more opportunities to the youth to benefit the wider community.
