Inclusion of children with special needs in Education

“I do not want my words to be like the promises of the politicians, but I would like to say that we children have accepted this process and every day take a step forward toward inclusiveness” said Xhovana, age 13 from Durres, during her school awareness campaign.

Children of the 14 primary schools in 7 regions of Albania, teachers and parents had the opportunity to celebrate the benefits of their engagement to promote Inclusion of children with special needs in Education.

Through their drawings, role-plays, essays, personal stories, poems and other creative activities, children promoted their right to quality and inclusive education and highlighted challenges and achievements that children with special needs experienced and accomplished in education These activities are part of Save the Children awareness campaigns #DrawDisability and Global Education week organized in partnership with MEDPAK.
