Wednesday 7 October 2015

Last week, Save the Children in Albania received a visit from Bvlgari employees in two of its education projects locations in Rripa village and in Tirana.

The project in Rripa village reaches children age 0-18, living in remote rural area that face poverty and are less able to realise their rights to education, health and protection. Save the Children support is ensuring access to qualitative Early Childhood Care and Development, basic and secondary education through active involvement of parents and communities.

The project in Tirana in support to the Socio-Educative Centre, run by FBSH a local NGO, reaches out to vulnerable children, mostly Roma children and children in street situation who face poverty, discrimination and exclusion. Through Bvlgari donations, the project support includes education, vocational training courses for teens and young mothers, birth and civil registration and health assistance, work with parents, hygienic and school supplies, psycho-social support to families with a special focus to young mothers, referrals and recreational activities.

Main project aim is to reduce the vulnerability and to empower socially excluded children and families particularly through education and reintegration programs. The core approach is integration of children in the educational system while promoting the proactive model of community outreach and empowerment.
